Our Tile Wall
Thanks to the creative work of Tessa Morgan of Flying Pig Pottery in Woods Hole, we are able to showcase seven inch square individualized ceramic tiles mounted on the bench and wall along the walkway into the Dog Park. This area, known as Cleo’s Corner, faces the walkway and is highly visible. Tiles are mounted on the wall one section at a time. Tile designs range from a tree, flowers, or a dog, and even different dog breeds. Each tile has been purchased to honor a person or pet, commemorate a special occasion, or memorialize one or the other. Wording choices were also individualized.

Meet Snoopy!
Snoopy is our latest addition to our Dog Park Art collection. Thanks to the amazing work of Falmouth artist Sue Beardsley, the Falmouth Dog Park now boasts another piece of her wonderful artwork. Sue created Snoopy out of recycled metal at home in her workshop. Be sure to check out Snoopy next to our new entryway next time you visit the park.
Thanks to all who participated in Art in the Park. A special thanks to Hanna Park, who designed the winning ad for the park, and her teacher Anne McDonand, First Grade Teacher at Mullen Hall School. Also, to Corine Adams, Art Teacher at Falmouth High, and her students who designed and painted our beautiful new signs. The designers were Colleen Doonan and Bridget Birmingham. The painters were Tori Johnson, Caroline Delinks, and Emily Adams. And of course to Miller Starbuck Construction for hanging the signs.

Sculpture Garden
Thanks to the amazing work of Falmouth artist Sue Beardsley, the Falmouth Dog Park now boasts some wonderful artwork. Sue created a miniature dog park out of recycled metal. She created all these pieces at home in her workshop and assembled them as a wonderful enclosed miniature park. She donated her work to the park in the Fall of 2012.

Cleo's Corner
Cleo's Corner was created in memory of a local young man, Jason Friel , and named after the dog he rescued. His father, Larry Friel, made the first donation to the park to create the memorial and help start the fund for the park's creation. The real Cleo actually attended the dedication of the memorial.
Jim Bowen has led the creation of a half dozen large mosaic murals on-and off-Cape, such as the one seen at the Falmouth Dog Park and under a bridge along the Falmouth Shining Sea Bikeway. During the weekend of the National Mosaic Exhibition at Highfield Hall in August 2012, students helped Bowen, artist Linda Dadek, and illustrator Erica Szuplat (who designed the original image) create the mural. Depicted is the land’s strawberry fields in the background, while dogs and a boy are at play in the park.
