Volunteer Opportunities
The Falmouth Dog Park depends completely on volunteers to operate and maintain the park. Below are listed a few ways that you can make a difference and help the people and dogs who use and depend on the Falmouth Dog Park.
Volunteer
|
The Falmouth Dog Park depends on a group of volunteers who donate their time to keep the park safe and clean for our canine and human visitors. Volunteers will visit the park and empty the waste containers and trash, sweep the concrete and bench areas, and insure that the park is clean. This only takes about 15-20 minutes for each visit, and you can decide how many visits you make in a month. Most volunteers give their time 1-2 days per month, but that is completely up to you. This is a vital function at the Park, and we are always looking for responsible people to help with this aspect of running a first-class Dog Park. If you can help, we would appreciate it.

Publicity
|
One of the primary ways we tell the public about dog park events is through posters. In addition, we also use posters to promote the park. We make about 3-4 general information posters, plus posters for our 5-6 events during the year. Posters are emailed to volunters, who print and distribute the posters to businesses and public bulletin boards in Falmouth and surrounding towns. We are always looking for volunteers that can take responsibility for 3-5 locations.

Events
|
The Falmouth Dog Park hosts several events during the year. Some of these events are to raise funds to support the park. Others are to promote awareness of the park. Volunteers work a few hours to staff an information table, answer questions about the park, and sell merchandise.
|
Park Maintenance
|
We are always looking for people to help rake leaves, cut grass, trim around the fence and trees, wash off bubblers, rake the sand pits, weed inside the fenced area, rake and re-distribute peastones, and pick up trash.

What it takes to be a Volunteer –
Thanks to Falmouth Community TV for putting together our latest PSA, and to the Stewards who work so hard to keep the park clean and safe. If you have 15 minutes a month to give your time to the dog park as a Steward, please call Barb Schneider at 508-331-2929.
Meet Our Volunteers
Our Volunteers visit the park daily to keep the park safe and clean for our visitors. If you have 15 minutes a month to help with this effort, we would love to include you in this group.
Those we thank in 2024Let’s give a Great BIG THANKS –
Each year it takes a village to get the dog park spruced up, fully operational and ready for the thousands of visitors that pass through the gates. We want to acknowledge those who helped make the park look extra good this year. Please make a point of saying thank you to these members of the community:
