Betty White not only gave the world decades of entertainment; she also helped thousands of animals through her work with animals in need. A national movement has begun to honor that effort with the Betty White Challenge. But her wish was for people to think about their own local animal needs. So we have started the Falmouth Betty White Challenge to help you do just that. Falmouth is fortunate to have Friends of Falmouth Dogs, People for Cats and Serenity Farms that rescue and provide care for local dogs, cats and other domestic animals. We also have the MSPCA that intervenes in extreme cases, IFAW that rescues our marine mammals in trouble, and The Cape Wildlife Center that rescues many of our wildlife in need of help. And we also have the Falmouth Service Center that provides food for pets in need, the Falmouth Dog Park that provides a safe place for dogs to get exercise and socialization, and the Osprey Project that is providing safer nesting sites for local osprey previously nesting on utility poles. We hope this helps you as you look for a way to help our local animals.
